Two minutes, start to finish.
- Download and open the DMG.
QuillNotify-latest.dmg. Double-click it in Downloads.
- Drag Quill Notify to Applications.
Then eject the disk image.
- Open Quill Notify.
From Applications or Spotlight. The quill appears in your menu bar, near the clock.
- Sign in with Bio-ID.
Use the same account you use for the portal and Ask Jefferson.
- Allow Notifications and Screen Recording.
macOS asks for each. Notifications are needed for banners; Screen Recording only for screenshots you ask for. Both can be changed later in Settings › General.
- Optional: add your mobile number.
Settings › Escalation, for the text when you're away.
- Add the Jefferson connector in Claude.
In Claude, Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector, URL
https://mcp.askjefferson.com, then sign in with Bio-ID. Jefferson can then send to your Mac.
It updates itself.
Quill Notify checks for a new version once a day and installs it for you. Menu bar › Check for Updates… does it now.A Mac on macOS 14 or later.
